Request a Refund

You may request your refund online through MyAccess. You must be authorized to log on to MyAccess. You will need your Georgetown NetID and NetID password. If you do not know your NetID or NetID password, you will need to contact the UIS Help Desk, located on the ground floor of St. Mary's at 202 687 4949. Parents, find out more about accessing your child's account online and the Privacy Act.
Refund requests can be made ONLY through the Student Account menu in MyAccess, and will only be successful if there is a refundable balance on the student account.
You may have the check mailed or have the funds electronically sent to your account. (You must set up a refund profile to have funds electronically sent to you - for more information on this option click on the link above.) Your entire credit balance will be refunded to you. You may not request a partial refund of a credit balance.
Students with an electronic refund profile set up will have their refund electronically delivered. Students without a refund profile set up will have a check mailed to them. Student Accounts will no longer offers an option to have a refund check made available for pick-up.
If you wish to have a refund check mailed to you, you should not establish an electronic refund profile. You may change your address at any time on MyAccess. Refunds will only be mailed to Local or Permanent addresses. If you have a local address on file, it will be sent there. Be sure to change your address BEFORE you request your refund. You will receive an email detailing the status of your refund once your request is processed.
